Well, here’s why …

After a little experimentation, here at Abtractish we have decided not to offer white t-shirts.

The lovely people at Teemill under-print in white on coloured clothing, but not on white. As it is the under-printing which makes the designs stand out strongly from the background, giving a clarity we like, we are sticking with coloured t-shirts (and other clothing at some point) - hopefully a suitable mixture of pastels and deeper colours.

(We ran a sample using a white t-shirt, but the ink seeps into the cloth, dulling the colours. For example, black becomes a rather uninspiring grey.)

However, if you really, really need a white t-shirt bearing one of our designs, please drop us a line at hello@abstractish.co.uk and we happily will sort something out.

Come to think of it, this also applies to any our other colour or Teemill item. Want a design on a Women’s Relaxed Fit Hoodie in mauve? Then just let us know.

The 'Swirly' collection originated from a discussion over lunch with Jilly Stewart, the originating artist.
